Having learnt about “How Google Serves the Ads ?” in chapter 3 , lets look forward into preparing a website for AdSense Approval.
The hardest part of getting started with AdSense is getting Google to approve your website. In fact, for many, it is easier to get a $100,000 bank loan than it is to get a free Google AdSense account.

What is the key to crack this hard-shell?
Its simple. The key is to be prepared before you apply. Your website should be complete with quality content.
Being the giant of the World Wide Web, Google has a reputation to live up to. A reputation for providing quality content, targeted traffic and good value for money to their advertisers.

Here is the Quick Checklist before you apply your website for AdSense:

1>Terms of Service:
The very first thing you must do is to read Google’s Terms of Service (TOS). If your site doesn’t fall within the guidelines that Google sets out, it will be denied from approval. These are rules that you must not only follow in order to get approved, but must continue to follow to also stay in the program.
2>Content is the King:
The way to meet these requirements is to provide content that meets their requirements and going one step further to add something unique, which other websites might not offer.
To make a sizable income from AdSense, you need unique  content and a true commitment to your visitors  — which makes it easy for advertisers to target their audience.
The good news is that once one site is approved, and you have a Google AdSense account, there is no need to seek Google’s approval to use AdSense on any other site that you own, as long as that site is within the Google’s terms of service guidelines.
3> Website should be Complete and running:
Check all your links and graphics making sure that all hyperlinks and source links are functioning as intended. Broken links can be a cause for rejecting your website. You can’t have any pages that are ‘under construction’ while submitting.
4> Don’t build websites that only eyes the Search Spiders:
Google is quick to reject websites that are built specifically to attract search spiders or trick people into clicking AdSense Ads. With so many legitimate ways of creating revenue-generating content, you’re only cheating yourself when you take a short-cut. You reduce your CTR and increase the odds of being banned by Google.
5> Last but not least – Don’t build a website just to make money from Google:
May be this is the most important point that you should remember all through building your website. Don’t do things just for the sake of money. You will end up gaining nothing. Build a website about the topic that interests you. You should enjoy blogging and not do it merely for the sake of money.
You might feel that the more pages that you can throw up, the more money you’ll make but if you can’t produce the sort of content that others can, then you’re not going to get the traffic or the revenues.

Some more silly things that really matter :

1> For the purposes of getting approved by AdSense, try to limit to just content, content and more content!
2> Design your website according to Google Webmaster Guidelines found at http://www.google.com/webmasters/guidelines.html.
3> It is a good idea to register your website with Google Analytics and Google Webmaster Tools.
4> After registering, you have to submit Site Map of your website to Google for easy crawling.
5> Create a Gmail account exclusively for Google Adsense. Don’t use it for any personal, business and Google AdWords use.
6> Use proper Title, Meta Keywords, Meta Description and other tags. Make sure all your HTML Codes properly closed.
7> Avoid using showy backgrounds or unprofessional color contrasts in your website.
8> You need to have at-least 15-20 pages in your website which has quality content.
9> Before you submit your site for approval – try to get your site some traffic by posting at some forums with your website’s link in the signature.

Juicy Last words

Make a very simple website with
  • 15-20 articles
  • a contact us page
  • a privacy policy and
  • a typical disclaimer.
And remember, if you do not get approved, you can always fix things and try again.
Ever tried. Ever failed. No matter. Try Again. Fail again. Fail better.
With this little knowledge on website preparation for AdSense approval lets move on to our next chapter which teaches you on the topic ” How to sign-up for a AdSense account with ease”?
