You must have shifted from Blackberry to Android Smartphone. I consider it as smart thinking. So you think you can transfer all your Blackberry contacts to SIM and then use that SIM to import all those contacts in your Android ? Well it isn’t that easy as it sounds. You can’t just mark all of them together and copy to SIM; it has to be done one by one. So of course it ain't an easy way. So I am gonna share two methods of transferring the contacts from your Blackberry Phone to your Android Smartphone.
- Syncing through PC software: Well first, download Blackberry Desktop Client and sync the contacts of your blackberry phone. Import the contacts in a new list in Microsoft outlook. Now you need to install your Android phone’s desktop client software. After this, import all the contacts from outlook to your Android phone using client software. This process is pretty time consuming as you need to download multiple desktop applications for this. So I don’t recommend using this process, instead try the simplest process mentioned below.
- Google Sync: The easiest way to transfer contacts across all platform smartphones whether it is Android, Blackberry, iOS or Symbian. Install Google Sync on your Blackberry from here. Now once the app is installed, it’s pretty easy to take the backup of all your contacts stored on Blackberry phone to your Google account. Now all your contacts are stored in your Gmail account. On your Android phone simply log in to Gmail app which is pre loaded and it will ask you whether you want to sync all your Google contacts: Click on Sync all and that’s it. If you follow this process, you are freed from all the hassles of installing couple of software, connecting USB’s and wasting so much of time.
The best part of using Google Sync is, even if your smartphone is stolen at least you don’t get to lose your contacts. Cheers!!
